Affiliate disclosure
How GiftBrief makes money (and how it doesn't)
GiftBrief doesn't use affiliate links at the moment. We don't earn a commission when you buy a gift, and no retailer pays to appear in our guides.
The important bit. If that changes, we'll update this page first and label every affiliate link where it appears. Money will never decide which gifts appear in a guide, what order they're in, or whether we tell you to skip something.
What you'll find on GiftBrief today
- Gift ideas described by kind of gift, not by brand or product.
- Typical UK prices, written as "usually" or "around", so you know roughly what to budget. They're ranges, not quotes.
- A Good if and a Skip if on every pick.
If we add affiliate links later
An affiliate link is a tracked link to a retailer or affiliate network. If you click one and buy something, we might get a small commission at no extra cost to you. If we ever use them:
- We'll say so on this page and next to the links themselves.
- The price you pay won't change because of our link.
- We won't see your payment details, delivery address or full order.
- We won't sell places in the gift guides.
- Every pick will still have its Skip if, even where a link could earn us money.
Privacy
Some pages, such as Gift ideas, have buttons that open a retailer’s own search so you can browse current options. These are not affiliate links: we don’t earn anything if you buy, and once you’re on a retailer’s site their own privacy and cookie policies apply. How we handle birthday reminder sign-ups is set out in our privacy policy.
Questions
If something on a page looks wrong, or a suggestion feels off, please tell us. That's how the guides get better.
